世界羽聯正式宣布2010年超級系列年終大師賽由中華羽協及Victor舉辦

　【本會訊】喜愛羽球的球迷們有福了！在世界羽聯（BWF）的授權下，本會已取得明年一月「2010羽球超級系列賽年終大獎賽」的承辦權，這項比賽總獎金 50萬美元，參賽資格為各項目年終世界排名前八者，戲未登場，但精采可期。

　八月初，世界羽聯副會長派森飛抵臺灣，拜訪中華民國羽球協會，並會唔了祕書長蔡鴻鵬。派森表示，希望由我國來承辦「2010羽球超級系列賽年終大獎賽」，屆時世界羽聯將大力協助我國主辦這項賽事。至於，比賽時間，祕書長蔡鴻鵬原希望在十二月舉行，但派森表示，十二月有西方人的新年，最後敲定比賽時間在1月 5日～9日，另外比賽地點，則暫定在臺北縣新莊體育館。

　目前，協會與世界羽總已於八月初完成口頭約定，雙方預定在八中旬完成比賽協議書確立，九月再舉行正式的簽約儀式。

　這項比賽是我國首次獲得承辦權，同時這項比賽也是由世界羽聯所授權主辦的各項比賽中等級最高的一項，因此，對於出賽的選手亦有資格的設限，必需是年終排名中名列前八的選手，才有資格參賽。

　祕書長蔡鴻鵬表示，能獲得承辦權，不僅是協會的光榮，也是羽球迷的福氣，這表示世界羽聯肯定我國有能力承辦最高等級的賽事，球迷們也不必大費周章的飛往國外看比賽，只要在台灣就能看到世界一流的球星、一流的比賽。

既然是世界前8的循環賽 就不應該另外附加限制
以前的大獎賽總決賽也沒這麼做
舉個例子 1998的年終大獎賽男單
中國4位 印尼3位 馬來西亞4位(當時是前16名循環賽)

　世界羽聯現在有些規定就是希望能夠向全世界推廣羽球運動, 同時提高電視觀眾的收視率, 例如世界錦標賽的資格, 例如各單項的世界前八強中, 若有四名/組(含)以上選手同屬於一個會員協會(如中國, 台灣, 香港, 美國等都是各個獨立的會員協會)的話, 最多只能有4名/組選手參加, 不過還不是保證能有四名/組選手參加, 因為還必須先考量其他原則, 如各大洲羽協(如亞洲羽協, 歐洲羽協, 美洲羽協, 大洋洲羽協, 非洲羽協)的代表分配, 主辦單位及世界羽聯還可以提名外卡球員等, 各個單項的報名人/組數也有不同, 男單64人, 女單48人, 三個雙打各48組.

　以本屆世界錦標賽的男單籤表來看, 就可以清楚看出這個趨勢, 自從羽球在1992年正式加入奧運之後, 世界羽聯就愈來愈在意能否留在奧運大家庭裡. 如果真得是世界錦標賽的話, 應該把世界排名前64強的男單齊聚一堂, 一分高下, 不應該管有哪些區域是否有代表參加才對吧?! 因為奧運有這個分配名額的規定, 世界羽聯才會逐步走向這個趨勢.

VICTOR-BWF Super Series Finals 2010 goes to Chinese Taipei

The Badminton World Federation (BWF) is pleased to announce that Chinese Taipei Badminton Association will host the BWF Super Series Finals 2010 while VICTOR will be the title sponsor of the USD500,000 total prize money event.

The Finals, to be played on 5-9 January 2011, will feature the top eight ranked players in the Super Series standings in all five events.

“We are also pleased to have VICTOR on board as the title sponsor and look forward to a successful VICTOR-BWF Super Series Finals in Chinese Taipei in January,” said BWF Chief Operating Officer Thomas Lund.

“We also want to thank Chinese Taipei Badminton Association for hosting the event. They have always been excellent hosts and I am confident they will do a wonderful job in hosting the tournament.”

The VICTOR-BWF Super Series Finals is the climax of the 12-leg BWF Super Series circuit.

For the past two seasons, the Badminton Association of Malaysia hosted the Final in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah and Johor Bahru, Johor respectively.

“The BWF Super Series Finals is growing stronger as a brand and we are proud to play hosts. With so many top players in the event, badminton fans in Taipei are in for some amazing badminton,” said CTBA Secretary-General Tsai Hung-Peng.

“CTBA also would like to thank BWF for giving us the opportunity to host the event.”

VICTOR Sports General Manager Jeff Chen also expressed his delight to participate as the title sponsor of the event and said that the sponsorship exercise is part of the company’s strategy to promote badminton in Chinese Taipei particularly and the world generally.

“It is also an important milestone for VICTOR and hope this will enhance our cooperation with the BWF.”

當然有名額限制也是好低 !! (像這樣我低阿興去年才能參加這項賽事~並擊敗陶菲克)
